Glenmorangie 10 year old

The original expression of this elegant floral spirit. This 10 year old single malt is produced by marrying the delicate spirit that emerges from Scotland’s tallest still, with first and second fill American white oak casks.

The scent of citrus and ripening peaches is softened by the aroma of vanilla, you will then first taste a hint of vanilla on the tongue before it ripples along the palate bringing a burst of flowery fruitiness. On the finish you are left with a clean and crisp orange and peach notes.

 

Speyburn 10 year old Single Malt

Speyburn 10 years old single malt is matured in a combination of American Oak ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks.

Fruity aromas wit hints of orange, mandarin and cooking apple. A touch of oak, peppermint and spice. A gentle, light palate with soft malt, sweet, toasty barley with liquorice and dried herbs. Just a touch of smoke trails off on the finish.

 

Oban 14 year old

This distillery was built two centuries ago in the fishing town of Oban. The West Highland malt is still produced in the same unhurried, traditional fashion and this 14 year old is a classic dram from the distillery.

The nose is rich and smoky. The medicinal notes are quite evident with notes of the sea; seaweed, tarry ropes. There are notes of cut hay and wood smoke rising with a  gentle estery sweetness. The palate is thick and full. Notes of citrus with a smooth sweetness. The smoke wafts with more notes of seaweed. The finish is of good length with fruit and dry oak.

 

Ardmore Port Wood Finish 

This 12 year old single malt was initially matured in American white oak bourbon casks before being transferred over to Port pipes for a finishing period. Its time in the port pipes has imparted wine-like sweetness to the whisky, with further hints of juicy grape and flamed orange peel along the way.

Old-fashioned peatiness on the nose, quickly joined by summer berries, red grapes and old oak. On the palate, flamed orange peel and mellow peat, joined by a little vanilla from the bourbon casks. A light honey’d finish, with a final flash of wine sweetness.

 

Wolfburn Sherry Oak Aurora Single Malt

A late 2016 release from the Wolfburn distillery, matured in a combination of casks; 40% of this whisky was aged in second fill quarter casks, 40% in first fill ex-bourbon casks and 20% in first Oloroso Sherry hogshead.

Aromas of almonds and pecans with a wave of sweet, sticky Sherry notes. Raisins, currants and more mixed nuts and fresh barley on the palate. Lingering Sherried spice on the finish.

 

Tomatin 9 Year Old 2007 Caribbean Rum Cask 

This 9 year old Tomatin spent its entire maturation on ex-Caribbean rum barrels, the first of its kind from this distillery.

Enticing aromas of coconut and pineapple developing into creamy banana and vanilla custard on the palate, relaxing with lingering tropical fruits at the finish.
