Macallan Amber Single Malt
Amber is part of The Macallan’s new no age statement range of Speyside single malts, which concentrates on colour. By using 100% sherry casks and natural colour the whisky is darker, older and more complex.
Aromas are soft vanilla, lemon and barley with hints of ginger. Milk chocolate buttons and hints of rasin. Thick and fruity palate compared to the nose. Golden sultanas, dates, apple peelings and dusting of cinnamon. Cereal notes on the mid-palate, joined by mince pies with crumbly shortbread. Fragrant oak finish, with the mince pit notes lingering.
Tamnavulin Double Cask Single Malt
This whisky was the first release from the distillery since the 1990s. They initially mature it in American oak barrels before treating them to a finishing period in Sherry casks.
Aromas of chocolate mousse, extra thick double cream with a dusting of brown sugar, stewed apples and blackberries. On the palate there is Christmas pudding, chocolate brownies, yellow plum and toffee-coated barley. Spiced rum sweetness lingers on the finish.

A 2014 addition to their selection of Speyside single malt. This Classic Port Cask Finish is treated to an 8 month finishing period in Tawny Port casks before being bottles.
Aromas of creamy vanilla at the fore, joined by jammy redcurrants and blackberry. Toasted oak touches in the background. On the palate, butterscotch candies, golden barley and a touch of cinnamon. The port cask influence comes through with the light notes of raisins and freshly picked red berries. A rather long finish with honey, vanilla and a dusting of cocoa
Glenfarclas 105 Cask Strength Single Malt
Glenfarclas 105 is a superb cask strength whisky, with a history that can be traced to 1968. This became the first distillery to release a barrel proof single malt. Although it doesn’t carry an age statement it is thought that it is matured for 8-10 years in both ex-sherry and ex-bourbon barrels.
Great depth on the nose, sherry, creamy and nutty. Honey on toast and a touch of smoky coffee. The palate is silken, spicy and peppery oak. Almond, praline, hazelnut, dried peels and fruit. A long, peppery, nutty finish.
